For far too long, deep pockets in Washington have drowned out the voices of every day Americans. Hear The People is the cutting edge new platform to return the government to the masses. Whether on the right, the left, or anywhere in between, those who want to affect change can join with others to fight special interests in Washington by simply selecting issues, pooling resources, and hiring lobbyists to ensure their voices are heard.
HOW IT WORKS
Hear The People uses crowd-funded advocacy to take a bite out of big money politics by joining together like-minded individuals to force change on the issues they care about. It’s like Kickstarter, but always for issues that matter.
Search the issue positions and pick the ones that matter to you.
Sign up to receive updates about the work being done on the issue positions you’ve chosen to support.
Turn the table on big money donors – combine efforts and amplify your message to a level that will force lawmakers to pay attention!
Once the combined contributions for a particular issue position reach the goal level, a lobbyist will be hired to engage with members of Congress and be your voice on Capitol Hill.
WHAT IS A LOBBYIST?
Lobbyists are specialists uniquely qualified to influence government. They are typically lawyers, policy experts, former staffers, former government employees, or former members of Congress.
WHY HIRE A LOBBYIST?
Effective lobbyists know how the system works and are best positioned to deliver important messages to Congress – this is why large companies spend billions of dollars every year to hire them. Hear The People gives users access to the same tools to beat special interests at their own game.
WHAT WILL LOBBYISTS DO?
Once a campaign reaches its fundraising goal, Hear The People will engage a vetted lobbyist who is best suited to work on the issue. Each retained lobbyist will be invited to make strategic advocacy recommendations, but generally speaking they will:
Users who wish to sign up for updates will receive e-mail alerts, calls to action, and be invited to participate in live interactions with lobbyists to receive information relevant to the campaign.
